The owners wanted to be able to see and invite more wildlife to their backyard, as well as allow their grandchildren to walk through this buffer barefoot. All the invasive plants were removed, and native plants were added. The path is pea gravel – rounded stones, easy on bare feet. The dry stream bed has water flowing through it in the winter, which can easily be seen from the house, or can be crossed by balancing across the log.
